All Natural Strawberry Banana Ice Cream

Today we started our day with preparing for a tasty cookout and then it was time for a wonderful sermon that blessed us so much. The rest of the day was spent with our awesome children and grandchildren and our super sweet daughter-in law!

This past year I saw a lot of people doing posts on making banana ice cream from just frozen bananas. I was intrigued so I put some over ripe bananas in the freezer and then tried this the next day. Oh my goodness it was so delicious!! The next time our grandson Will came to visit I made some for him and he loved it. Since then we make this on a regular basis. The other day I thought that it would be nice to add some frozen strawberries the next time we made it.

Just cut your ripe bananas into chunks and put them in a container in the freezer. I used a recycled zip lock bag since I new Will would be helping me today. Usually I just put them in a freezer container.

Put the frozen banana chunks in your food processor and then we added frozen strawberries as well.

Turn the processor on and just watch it until it is blended thoroughly

                                 It should look like this.

I then put it into containers. It is ready to be eaten or you can put it back into the freezer to eat later. Well likes to go to the freezer and get his little containers out himself.

And boy does he enjoy every bite! This is so wonderful because there is no added sugar. Just natural good for you fruit. Have you ever made ice cream this way? Well technically I don’t guess I ought to say ice cream since there is no cream in it!!

Don’t forget to enter our all natural giveaway here. Also we have added our all natural mineral blushers and bronzes to the website. Our eye shadows will be on there as well this week. So please check them out at  Eco Natural Soap

Ahh … what a fabulous (and oh so cute) sous chef you have! This sounds wonderful and very refreshing on a hot summer day. I love that there isn’t any added sugar … the kind of desert one doesn’t have to feel bad about eating or giving to children. I never toss ripe bananas … they are good for so many recipes. I love to toss them in the blender with soy or almond mild for a great smoothie. I also use them in baking to replace most, or all, of the oil … of course, the finished product will taste like bananas but we like the flavor. Thanks for sharing this recipe for “ice cream” … I’m definitely trying it out!

We love doing this too; it means you can enjoy ice cream any day without the guilt and all the horrible nasty additives. What adorable photos!

Ha! it’s for things like this that I might one day go for a BIG blender – I still have the handheld that did the baby food. It does a raspberry sorbet (frozen raspberries, almond milk, some vanilla) but couldn’t tackle the frozen bananas.

I just had a smoothie made close to the same way about an hour ago. If I use frozen strawberries and frozen banana, I usually don’t need to refreeze it.
