I had posted a while back how I had made some really cool recycled tote bags.
I made some from some coffee bags that Alan had gotten me from the San Francisco docks.

I also made some from old tee shirts and they are some of my favorites because they are so compact to carry. These are just so easy to make and they fold up and fit in your purse without taking up much room at all. In fact it was so easy to make that I made several in one afternoon and then I realized I hadn’t taken any pictures of the process So I have added a link to a short Martha Stewart video showing how to make them. .http://www.marthastewart.com/243171/t-shirt-bag#246008 I also showed you how I make my herb vinegar. It is super easy to make and is a great way to use up your extra herbs. Just get a glass container fill it with a good mixture of herbs add several garlic cloves then cover with white vinegar, Let stand several weeks. Strain and put in decorative bottles. Makes a wonderful gift for someone who likes to cook.

I love to make homemade masks and scrubs. This is an oatmeal lemon scrub. You use 1 Tbs. of ground oatmeal, 1 tsp. of lemon juice, 1tsp. of freshly grated lemon peel, and 2 tsp. of yogurt,
Combine and apply to your face. You can let this scrub double as a mask by letting it sit a few minutes before scrubbing. Rinse and apply a good organic chemical free moisturizer.

We love making homemade pizza. I make my own pizza sauce and we pile the veggies on and then pop it into the oven. I took these pictures this past year when we were still eating dairy. We now add soy cheese and it is just as delicious!!
I would rather make our own pizza sauce, crust and use fresh toppings rather than buy a frozen one. I would much rather make our own recycled bags rather than buy them. I would much rather make my own vinegar and face scrubs and masks rather than buy ones that may contain bad ingredients. Would you rather make or buy things like these?
